Help Game servers Use the game panel
Give a friend access to your server
Let someone help run your server with their own login, choosing exactly what they can touch, and take it away again.
Never share your own password to let someone help. Add them on the panel's Users tab instead. They get their own login, you choose what they can do, and you can remove them in one press without changing anything of yours.
Two kinds of access#
| Where | They can | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| The game panel | Run the server: console, files, backups, as far as you allow. Never bills. | Friends and moderators |
| The portal | See the server's page and, with Billing access, its invoices | Partners who share the bills: see Invite people |
Add someone on the panel#
- On the Users tab, press New User and type their email address.
- Tick what they may do. Permissions are grouped by tab.
- Press Invite User.
If they're new to the panel, it emails them a link to set a password.
Choosing permissions#
Start small and add more when they need it.
| For | Tick | Leave out |
|---|---|---|
| A moderator | Control: console commands, start and restart | Everything else |
| A builder or config helper | Control, and File read and edit | File delete, and SFTP unless needed |
| A co-owner | Everything | Users, so they can't add or remove people |
Change or remove access#
On the Users tab, use the edit or delete button on their row. It takes effect straight away.
The Activity tab shows what each person has done, so you can always see who changed what.
