Email won't send from my server

Why mail from your VPS may never arrive, how to check whether port 25 is blocked, and how to ask us to open it.

1 min Updated 7 Nov 2026 Cloud VPS, Ryzen VPS

If mail from your server never arrives, or your mail log shows connections to port 25 timing out, port 25 is the likely reason. We block outbound port 25 on every server to stop spam leaving our network, and your own firewall rules can't override it.

Only outbound TCP port 25 is blocked. Mail coming in is fine, and so are other ports: if you send through a mail provider, use its submission port, 587 or 465.

Check, and ask to open it#

On the Networking tab, press Firewall and look under the rules:
