Schedule restarts and backups

Have the panel warn your players, take a backup and restart the server every night, without you being there.

2 min Updated 7 Nov 2026 Game servers, Discord bots

A schedule is a list of tasks the panel runs at the times you set. The usual one is a nightly backup and restart, so you always have yesterday's world to go back to.

How a schedule works#

Its tasks run top to bottom when the time comes, each waiting the seconds you set after the one before. The timetable is five boxes, as in Linux's cron: * means every, and */6 means every sixth.

BoxTakesEvery day at 04:00Every 6 hours
Minute0 to 5900
Hour0 to 234*/6
Day of Month1 to 31**
Month1 to 12**
Day of Week0 to 6, 0 is Sunday**

Make a nightly restart with a backup#

  1. On the Schedules tab, press Create schedule and name it, for example Nightly restart.
  2. Fill in the timetable for every day at 04:00, from the table above.
  3. Leave Only When Server Is Online and Schedule Enabled on, and save.
  4. Open it from the list and add these tasks with New Task, in order:
TaskTime offsetWhat to put
Send command0say Restarting in 5 minutes for the nightly backup
Send command240say Restarting in 1 minute
Send command60save-all
Create backup10Ignored files: logs, if you like
Send power action10Restart the server

Press Run Now on the schedule once to see it work while you watch the Console.

Other useful schedules#

When a schedule didn't run#

Check Schedule Enabled is on. With Only When Server Is Online, a stopped server is skipped. A failed task stops the ones after it unless Continue on failure is ticked; Activity and the Console show what happened.
